Sanatan Dharam Mandir of
Premnagar Dehradun is a very popular temple in the Prem Nagar area. It is a very
large and spacious temple that has every facility for the devotees. This temple is situated just adjacent to the
Gurudwara of Premnagar.
At
this temple every Hindu festival celebrated at the grand level and it also
organizes Bhandara for the devotees on various Hindu festivals and occasions. It
has every Gods idol but majorly Lord Hanuman, Maa Durga, Shri Ram, and Shri
Krishna idols are there. There is also a Lord Shiva temple where Shivling is
established inside the temple.
Temple
organizes many festivals at a very grand level with the help of local devotees
and leaders. At this temple every Hindu festival like Dussehra, Janamastmi,
Mahashivratri, Navratri, etc. celebrated. It also organizes Bhandara for the
devotees on various Hindu festivals and occasions.
During
the festivals, the temple is decorated very beautifully with flowers and light
which attracts the devotees from the various nearby places to celebrate the
festival here.

Flag Ceremony
Every
year temple organizes flag hoisted ceremonies inside the temple campus. The
temple flag is about 108 feet in height. It looks like the Jhande Ji flag of Dehradun. The devotees tie a handkerchief on the flag and ask for a vow.
Every
year it establishes a new flag at the place of the old one. After it organizes
Bhandara for all devotees who come here to celebrate the flag ceremony. During
the flag ceremony, local leaders also participate with the temple committee
members.

Sanatan
Dharam Mandir is situated near the Tyagi market of Prem Nagar. It is about 400
meters far away from Prem Nagar square at Chakrata road of Dehradun. You can
just reach in 5 minutes from the Prem Nagar bus stand to this temple. If you
asked anyone about the temple anyone can easily guide you in the direction of the
temple.
Both
Sanatan Dharm Mandir and Premnagar Gurudwara situated at the same place adjacent
to each other. Prem Nagar is the main area of Dehradun reaching here is not a
tough job. Lots of city buses come to Prem Nagar from various places of
Dehradun like Clock tower, ISBT, Vikash Nagar, and railway station of Dehradun.
