Sri Satyanarayana Swamy Temple of Anakapalle is a locally very famous Hilltop temple in the surroundings of Anakapalle town of Visakhapatnam city. It is blessed with beautiful sceneries from the temple. A devotee can see the completely Anakapalle beautiful area from this temple. It is considered to be the branch of Annavaram Satyanarayana temple.

This temple is situated over the top of the hill. So all the devotees and visitors have to climb all the steps on foot. Temple's way steps are very quiet steep and very tiresome. There is another way also for the motor vehicles but only for two-wheelers. This road is also not good and needs to be maintained.

Sri Satyanarayana Swamy Temple of Anakapallle has considered very sacred and famous so many functions or marriages of local peoples take place inside the temple. Of course, as the temple is very remote and difficult for everyone to climb over the hill to reach the temple so the visitors on regular days would be very few.

This temple gives amazing views of Anakapalle town on all the sides, of the Big Hills nearby, AMAL colleges, Sharda River, railway line of trains, and other surroundings. If you wait some time you can see the best part of here is to watch the Trains moving like Kids Toys. Watching sunrise and sunset from here are extraordinary moments. Temple opens daily but at a fixed time schedule. Visitors can visit only the main temple which is open for a limited time and all other small temples are closed or in ruined condition. Temple priest does not live permanently here, he also come for a limited time and moved to the home.

Everyday temple priest comes here in the morning at 09:00 am and opens the temple and do daily rituals or worship activities and moves to home after closing the temple at 12:00 pm in the afternoon. Again temple priest comes at 15:00 pm and moves at 16:00 pm. So the temple is only open for four hours a day and the remaining time it closed.

Visiting Time Duration

Temple is not so big but the location is good so it will depend on you how much time you want to spend here. Temple is open for a limited time and entering inside the main temple is also not allowed so there is nothing to do anything here. You have to just go there and visit the temple between 09:00 am to 12:00 pm afternoons.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Sri Satyanarayana Swamy temple of Anakapalle is only in the early morning during the winter season. Visakhapatnam is a coastal hot place. So trekking or going to hills top during summer must be avoidable. Going to early morning nearly around 08:00 am to 09:00 am would be good at the temple and you can spend some time at the temple campus.

Temple has no facilities as required at the temple. Temple stairs are broken, the maximum part of the temple looks like ruins and no one lives there. No shops, no sitting place, etc. Temple needs to be maintained by the local government or temple committee members.

How to Reach

Temple is just one kilometer far away from the Kanaka Durga temple of Anakapalle. To reach this temple you have just gone straight from the Kanaka Durga temple road. This temple is around 4 km far from the Anakapalle bus stand and from 5km from the Anakapalle railway station. There is no direct transport is available for the temple so you have to come here in your own vehicle. This temple way started after the bridge on the Sharda River.
